The Santa Fund.  806 East High Street Charlottesville, VA 22902Established in 1894 by James H. Lindsey, founding publisher of The Daily Progress, the Santa Fund is an annual collaborative effort between The Daily Progress, WINA 1070 AM and the United Way-Thomas Jefferson Area to raise funds for clothing, shoes, medicine and other essentials for needy school children in our community.

 

Fund distribution is coordinated by school representatives in Charlottesville, Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson and Orange Counties who help identify children with needs.
