Prescription Assistance Programs (PAP), provided nationally by most drug companies, offer free medications to low income, uninsured persons with long term, chronic conditions requiring medications. However, applying for these programs is often very confusing. Through support from the Virginia Health Care Foundation (VHCF) and Martha Jefferson Hospital the United Way has established the RxRelief Program.
